A highlight of the new site is the CareerMAP, said Matthew Brink, director of the UD Career Services Center.
The CareerMAP portion of the site is "specifically designed to make it easier for students, in a visual way, to conceptualize their career planning process and make progress in an organized step-by-step way," Brink said.
CareerMAP includes information, check lists and downloadable worksheets on career exploration, how to gain career experience, skill development and career goals.
Other features of the refreshed site include improvements in navigation and in content presentation. "The changes will make navigation and accessing information easier for students, alumni and employers," Brink said.
The top of the site features colorful banners leading users to information on the center's services, to resources for students, to resources for employers and to the Blue Hen Careers job listings portal.
There are links to information about the center itself and about services for alumni, for faculty and for families.
The site also features an events calendar and a scrolling banner listing UD's employer partners.
“The UD Office of Communications and Marketing provided invaluable expertise in developing the website,” Brink said. The Career Services Center website project was a cooperative effort between the center and OCM.
