During his visit, Jalbert is scheduled to offer a composition master class and later will attend the New Music Delaware concert at 8 p.m. in the Gore Recital Hall of the Roselle Center for the Arts.

New Music Delaware will feature chamber music written by composers associated with the University of Pennsylvania, Jalbert's alma mater.

Jalbert earned his doctorate in composition at UPenn, studying under well-known composer George Crumb, who will perform in the New Music Delaware concert along with Daniel Dorff, Jennifer Higdon, and Jennifer Margaret Barker.

Jalbert's illustrious career began when he was just five years old and, since, he has earned numerous awards and musical achievements. He earned the Rome Prize and the BBC Masterprize in 2001 for his musical compositions. Additionally, Jalbert's orchestral composition, Big Sky, was performed at Carnegie Hall by the Houston Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets for the New Music Delaware concert are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $3 for students. Tickets will be available at the door.
