2:30 p.m., Oct. 18, 2010----Ken Vogel, a reporter for Politico.com, will be the featured speaker when the 2010 National Agenda lecture series continues at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, in Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Vogel, who tracks the confluence of money, politics and influence, will speak on the topic “Political Speech After Citizens United.”

Vogel has covered politics and government at all levels, and was on the presidential campaign trail during the 2008 race with the campaigns of President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin and Vice President Joe Biden, a University of Delaware alumnus.

National Agenda 2010 is sponsored by the Center for Political Communication at UD and moderated by Ralph Begleiter, director of the center.

The series will continue as follows:

Monday, Oct. 25, 8:30 p.m., Bob Carpenter Center, UD Speaks will present an election eve presentation by Republican Karl Rove and Democrat Howard Dean.

Wednesday, Nov. 10, 7:30 p.m., Mitchell Hall, David Plouffe, a UD alumnus, fellow of the Center for Political Communication and adviser to President Barack Obama, will speak on “After the Election: What Next for Obama?”

Wednesday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m., Mitchell Hall, Amos Guiora, professor of law at the University of Utah, will speak on “Freedom From Religion: Managing Domestic Terrorism.”
