8:32 a.m., Oct. 8, 2010----Blue Hens are being encouraged to vote for alumnus and football head coach K.C. Keeler in Liberty Mutual's coach of the year online balloting.
Keeler, whose team enters the weekend 5-0 and ranked No. 2 in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, has moved into the top 10 in the balloting this week.
More than just a trophy, the Liberty Mutual coach of the year award provides each winning coach with $50,000 to donate to charity as well as a $20,000 grant to donate to the university's alumni association.
Fan voting takes place until Dec. 4 and those who participate can vote once per day for their favorite coach. The top 15 vote getters from each division will make it to the evaluation process phase.
