10:51 a.m., Nov. 8, 2010----UDress magazine will present its fifth annual Fall Fashion Event at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center at the University of Delaware. Doors open at 7pm.
The event, which is sponsored in part by HP/Intel, marks the fall release of UDress magazine's 13th issue.
In the 60-plus page fashion publication, UDress explores the theme of movement and encourages readers to find what propels them. The issue is centered on the social, career, music, art and even political movements that are underway all around us.
The evening begins with a magazine release party, sponsored by various boutiques, salons, and local businesses throughout Delaware and the surrounding area. During this time guests can visit a variety of tables to learn more about the companies, purchase merchandise, and receive free prizes, demos, and giveaways. Complimentary hors-d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.
Guests can watch and listen to live entertainment from local bands and student organizations, and will get the chance to participate in raffle drawings which consist of generous donations from the neighboring community. A percentage of the proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will be donated to TOMS Shoes.
The evening concludes with a runway show, in which more than ten area boutiques will showcase their merchandise on student models. The entire show is organized and produced exclusively by University of Delaware students.
