11:45 a.m., Nov. 4, 2010----David Plouffe, a close political adviser to President Barack Obama, will assess the outcome of the midterm elections and what they will mean for the remainder of Obama's term in office during a University of Delaware National Agenda 2010 presentation at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, in Mitchell Hall.

Plouffe, who was manager of Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, is a UD alumnus and a fellow of the University's Center for Political Communication. He will address the topic “After the Election: What Next for Obama?”

The Plouffe appearance is cosponsored by the University Bookstore and there will be a book signing following the program. He is the author of The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama's Historic Victory.

National Agenda 2010 is sponsored by the Center for Political Communication at UD and moderated by Ralph Begleiter, director of the center.

The series will conclude on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m., in Mitchell Hall. Guest speaker Amos Guiora, professor of law at the University of Utah, will discuss “Freedom From Religion: Managing Domestic Terrorism.”
