10:08 a.m., Nov. 10, 2010----Five Men on a Stool, a popular Atlanta-based contemporary rhythm and blues, jazz and spoken word ensemble, will be featured in the annual Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration at the University of Delaware.

The celebration will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center. Doors will open at 5:30.

Five Men on a Stool offers a unique blend of music and poetry, striving to entertain and also to enlighten audiences about the importance of community.

The celebration also will include remarks, a soul food feast and vendors.

Cost is free for full-time UD students, $20 for UD faculty and staff (with a limit of two tickets) and $25 for the general public.

Student tickets are only available at the Center for Black Culture, 192 S. College Ave., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Tickets for the faculty and staff and the general public are only available through the UD box offices.
