A Matter of Size is a 2009 film from Israel about a group of overweight men in an Israeli town who grow tired of dieting and decide to improve their self-esteem by forming a sumo wrestling club under the direction of the town's Japanese chef.
The film, directed by Sharon Maymon and Erez Tadmor, brings new perspectives to globalization through the gentle humor of cultural misunderstandings, which often bring unexpected connections.
The International Film Series, offered through the Department of English, is made possible by the support of the Faculty Senate Committee on Cultural Activities and Public Events.
