8:58 a.m., Nov. 15, 2010----Judith Vessey, a visiting scholar in the University of Delaware School of Nursing, will present an open lecture, “Bullying: From the Schoolyard to the Workplace ... Lessons Learned,” on Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. in 222 McDowell Hall.

Vessey is the Lelia Holden Carrol Endowed Professor in Nursing at Boston College and a nurse scientist at the Veteran's Administration, Boston Health System, in West Roxbury, Mass.

A developmental pediatric nurse practitioner, Vessey is a leading nurse researcher in the field of developmental pediatrics with a specialty in school health.

Vessey holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Her current research focuses on teasing and bullying among children as well as in the workplace.
