Also in the publication, OEA's newest researcher, Manuel Torres, encourages faculty to contact the office to develop programmatic assessment surveys for students graduating this spring.

Torres received his doctorate in sociology from UD in 2010. One of the many projects he supports for OEA is the creation of programmatic assessment surveys for students graduating from UD undergraduate and graduate programs.

Torres examined the current surveys and reported that the most useful graduation surveys have students self-report their attainment of programmatic student learning outcomes and also have students indicate if they had adequate opportunities to achieve these outcomes.

To ensure adequate time to develop graduation surveys, Torres said he hopes interested faculty will contact him as soon as possible at 302-831-0459 or via email at [mrtorres@udel.edu].
