2:24 p.m., March 8, 2011----The University of Delaware Student Government Association will host a student forum at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, in the Trabant University Theatre to provide undergraduate students an opportunity to voice their opinions on campus issues to administrators from multiple offices at UD.

The panel will include Provost Tom Apple; Dawn Thompson, dean of students and associate vice president for student life; Patrick Ogden, chief of police; Jake Olkkola, associate athletic director for recreation services; and Robin Moore, senior director of operations with UD Dining Services. Each panelist will present a brief description of their role at the University and what responsibilities exist within their department.

“We are pleased that so many University administrators will be joining us for the forum,” said Grace Bennett, SGA president. “This gives students the opportunity to meet administrators in a friendly setting, and administrators will be able to hear the thoughts and concerns directly from the students themselves.”

After hearing brief updates from each administrator, the floor will be open to students for questions and commentary. The event will be moderated by Bennett.

All students who attend the forum will be eligible for a raffle prize. The winning student will receive a Nook from Barnes and Noble.

The event is free and open to the campus community. Bennett said students are encouraged to attend and voice any concerns they have about UD programs and policies
