10:35 a.m., March 10, 2011----Arthur Glenberg of Arizona State University will make a presentation titled “Knowing Beans: Human Mirror Mechanisms Revealed Through Motor Adaptation” at 2 p.m., Friday, March 11, in 150 Alison Hall as part of the continuing Cognitive Science Colloquium Series sponsored by the University of Delaware Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science.

Glenberg is one of the leading proponents of the view known as "embodied cognition." He has lectured around the world, works frequently at Parma, where mirror neurons were discovered, has had many significant grants and has received prestigious honors in the profession of psychology and cognitive science.

He has published roughly 100 articles and chapters and made easily as many professional presentations around the world.

Glenberg received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Miami (Ohio) University and his doctorate from the University of Michigan. Professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin, he joined the Arizona State faculty in 2008.
