9:11 a.m., March 14, 2011----University of Delaware Botanic Gardens Director John Frett will lead a guided walk around the gardens from 4-5:30 p.m., Thursday, March 31, focusing on landscape-size plants that will be offered at the 19th annual Benefit Plant Sale in April.

The walk is free for UDBG Friends and $5 for nonmembers. Registration is limited, so sign up early. Check out the Plant Sale Catalog on the UDBG website.

Friends enjoy an exclusive day to shop at the sale on Thursday, April 28, from noon to 7 p.m.

Plant sale general admission is Friday, April 29, from 3-7 p.m., and Saturday, April 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

The UD Botanic Gardens are open year around to provide ideas and inspiration, or for a quiet stroll.
