10:25 a.m., March 17, 2011----Jane Vincent, Mid-Atlantic regional administrator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, will discuss “Housing Policy After the Great Recession,” at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, in Room 185 Graham Hall.

A question-and-answer session will be held after the talk.

Selected to serve as regional administrator last October, Vincent is HUD's liaison to mayors, city managers, elected representatives, state and local officials, congressional delegations, stakeholders and customers. She is responsible for overseeing the delivery of HUD programs and services to communities, as well as evaluating their efficiency and effectiveness.

Vincent earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish and psychology and a master's degree in public administration at UD. She also holds the professional designation of chartered adviser in philanthropy from the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of the American College.

The free public talk is part of the School of Public Policy and Administration's annual contemporary issues lecture series.

Next speaker in the series will be Stephen M. Davidson, professor of health and policy management at the University of Boston School of Management, discussing the U.S. health care system on April 5.
