Employee Appreciation Night tickets available for Feb. 3 women's basketball game

3:10 p.m., Jan. 24, 2011----The University of Delaware Athletics Department will host UD Employee Appreciation Night on Thursday, Feb. 3, as the Blue Hens women's basketball team takes on Northeastern University at 7 p.m.

Free tickets are being offered to UD employees for this game, which will be played at the Bob Carpenter Center. Game time is 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Tickets for employees will be available beginning at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Trabant University Center Ticket Office (open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.) and the Bob Carpenter Center Box Office (open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.).

Tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. There is a limit of four tickets per employee with UD identification.

To fill out a request form in advance, please see the attached downloadable document in PDF format. All patrons must have a completed form to pick-up tickets.

Mascot Night

The Feb. 3 game also will be Mascot Night, with YoUDee and other characters performing.

UDairy Creamery

All UD employees who purchase a UDairy Creamery ice cream cup or cone at the game -- the ice cream will be available on the Bob Carpenter Center concourse at Section 7 -- are eligible to enter a contest for a free ice cream party for their office, courtesy of the UDairy Creamery.

A faculty/staff ID is required to complete an entry form; only one entry form per person.

The contest includes supplies, ice cream and service for an ice cream party for up to 25 people, to be held during normal business hours at any location on the University's main campus in Newark.
