12:28 p.m., Jan. 28, 2011----The University of Delaware Library announces the availability online of the Berg Fashion Library, a new database that provides integrated text and image content on world dress and fashion throughout history.
The database includes the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion, an extensive e-book collection, a vast image bank, extra reference resources and more.
“Students and scholars in disciplines as diverse as anthropology, art history, history, sociology, geography, folklore, museum studies, theatre and cultural studies as well as fashion and textiles will find the Berg Fashion Library a treasury of fascinating insights into people and cultures all over the world,” stated Susan Brynteson, vice provost and May Morris Director of Libraries.
Berg Fashion Library can be accessed by students, faculty and staff of the University of Delaware via the UD Library Database webpage.
The database is updated at least three times a year and includes a free personalization feature, “My Stuff,” which allows users to create and save personal content and searches (Click on the “Sign Up for My Stuff” link at the top of the screen).
