1:19 p.m., Feb. 10, 2011----The University of Delaware Career Services Center and the Delaware BioScience Association have entered into an exciting new partnership that will benefit UD students and alumni.
One of the first events is 2011 UD Engineering, Science and Technology Career Fair sponsored by VWR to be held from noon to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center.
The fair will target all engineering, technology and science majors.
Company representatives will attend to provide participants with information regarding their organizations, hiring needs and requirements for full- and part-time jobs, and internship opportunities.
About 100 companies are expected to attend the fair, which is open to all UD students, alumni and experienced candidates from the greater community.

Matthew Brink, director of the UD Career Services Center, said the partnership with the Delaware BioScience Association in an important one for the campus community and for the state.
“I view our newly established partnership between the University of Delaware Career Services Center and the Delaware BioScience Association as offering tangible and immediate benefits to University of Delaware students and alumni, the citizens of Delaware and employers who operate within the state of Delaware,” Brink said. “Our joint efforts will increase access to internships and jobs during one of the most challenging job markets in history.”
Brink said the career fair will “mark the genesis of what I know will be a mutually beneficial partnership for years to come.”
