Feb. 5: Ice hockey team to promote breast cancer awareness

2:56 p.m., Feb. 1, 2011----The University of Delaware Men's Ice Hockey team will wear pink jerseys at its Saturday, Feb. 5, contest against Liberty University to raise awareness of breast cancer.

The game begins at 5 p.m. at the Fred Rust Ice Arena.

Pink ribbons have been painted on the ice for the game.

Special auctions, raffles and events will be held at the game Saturday, and all proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Federation.

The pink jerseys worn by the Blue Hens that evening will be auctioned off throughout the night at the team's booster club table.
