Jessica Richey, April 15, 2011

3:04 p.m., April 21, 2011--Jessica Richey, 22, of Hockessin, died April 15. She was a student in the University of Delaware Associate in Arts program.

Neri de Kramer, who teaches in the Wilmington program, said, "In my class, Jessica was all smiles, attentive and very focused on her schoolwork. She was excited about the prospect of beginning the final part of her education on the main campus next semester. She was a pleasure to have around, and I am very saddened to have her taken away from us."

Ms. Richey is survived by her parents, Frank and Linda Richey; brother, Justin; sister-in-law, Faiye; niece, Nevaeh; and uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. 

A celebration of her life will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at Victory Christian Fellowship Church, 100 Wilton Blvd., New Castle, preceded by a viewing from 8-9 a.m. In addition, a viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 22, at the House of Wright Mortuary, 208 East 35th St., Wilmington.
