8:24 a.m., April 14, 2011--The University of Delaware Office of Graduate and Professional Education in collaboration with the Research Office will host a workshop on Monday, April 25, from 3:30-5 p.m., in Room 102 Gore Hall, for early-career graduate students interested in developing external fellowship proposals.

Led by Leigh Botner of the Research Office and Carol Rudisell of the University of Delaware Library, the session will focus on how to find funding opportunities and then cover the nuts and bolts of proposal development. The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) program will be used as a specific example. NSF GRFs provide funding for research-based master’s and doctoral education in a wide range of fields including science, engineering, the social sciences and STEM education.
