Alumni Association agreement gives students summer storage discount
10:40 a.m., April 15, 2011--A new agreement between the University of Delaware Alumni Association and Lazybones Laundry and Storage benefits UD students and the association.
Lazybones offers storage for beds, microwaves, plastic bins, fans, winter clothes and other items during summer or semester breaks. The service includes pick up and delivery, and there is a ”store and wash” option for clothing.

Under the new agreement, UD students can get a coupon for 10 percent off storage fees, and Lazybones will also donate 10 percent of fees to the UD Alumni Association. The online coupon code is “LBUDAA.”
“We are happy to partner with Lazybones because they offer very reliable service, and this agreement will support our student and alumni programs,” said Lauren Murray Simione, assistant director of alumni relations at the University.
“We are the only business providing low-cost laundry and storage services on the UD campus,” said Stu Sherman, president of the Newark branch of Lazybones. “We give free estimates, we pick up and deliver, and our customers have been extremely satisfied.
“For our storage service, size matters, not weight. There are no monthly storage fees; you just make a one-time payment. If you need to store your possessions and have them delivered back to you next semester, give us a call,” he said.
One of Lazybones’ satisfied customers is Bob Zuckerman, whose daughter, Jennifer, is a UD student. “They moved and stored all the furniture and boxes,” he said. “Plus, they helped load Jennifer’s car with the heavy TV and other things she was bringing home for the summer. I was very grateful for that. In the fall, they met her on time at her new apartment and delivered everything back in great shape. I would highly recommend Lazybones.”
Established in 1993, Lazybones offers laundry and storage services in college communities from Wisconsin to Boston. Its five branches pick up, wash and deliver more than 25,000 pounds of laundry per week and handle more than 10,000 storage items during the three weeks of move out season.
