The match will be the second one played at the BCC this season after a record-setting contest against the University of North Carolina earlier this year. During that match, 2,517 fans packed into the arena to watch the Blue Hens post a thrilling five-set victory over the Tar Heels. The attendance was the highest for a collegiate volleyball match in the state of Delaware.

T-shirt tosses and a postgame autograph session with the team will highlight Friday's festivities. The Delaware cheerleaders and dance team will also be accompanied by YoUDee at the match. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Fans can purchase tickets for the volleyball match through Ticketmaster. The cost is $4 for adults and $2 for fans 17 and younger. Football and basketball season ticket holders can also receive a special discounted $2 ticket.

For more information, contact the season ticket office at (302) 831-2257.

Also, free tickets are being offered to UD employees for the match. Those tickets can be picked up now at the box offices in the Trabant University Center and the Bob Carpenter Center. Tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. There is a limit of four tickets per employee with UD identification.

Shuttle buses to and from the match will be provided for students, who can enter the match for free with their student ID. Delaware fraternity and sorority members will also receive CAP points for attending the match.

During the contest, UD students can also enter a drawing to participate in the Cockpit wing eating contest at the 2009-10 Delaware Basketball Pep Rally at Buffalo Wild Wings on Monday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m.

The UD volleyball team enters Friday sitting atop the Colonial Athletic Association standings. The two-time defending CAA champions currently are the highest-ranked team from the conference in both the regional and national rankings.
