UD scored a total of 82 points, which was 14 more than Dartmouth and 24 more than Boston University, the 2009 intercollegiate national champions.

“This win was not only motivating, but inspirational,” said Krista Brockway, the team's president. “This is the most collectively supportive, dedicated and determined team I have witnessed both on and off the ice. I truly believe our potential is limitless.”

The team's potential is exemplified through its skaters' many medal-winning performances, which include the following:

Michele Colucci -- 1st Intermediate Short
Michele Colucci -- 1st Intermediate Long
Brittany Sullivan -- 3rd Intermediate Long
Megan Marschall -- 1st Novice Short
Julianne DiMura -- 1st Junior Short
Rachel Diehm -- 3rd Junior Short
Julianne DiMura -- 2nd Junior Championship
Krista Brockway -- 1st Senior Test Track
Julie Lapatka -- 3rd Senior Test Track
Alex Lahurd -- 3rd Senior Championship
Rachel Diehm -- 3rd Preliminary Dance
Kristin Zinsmeister -- 1st Intermediate Dance
Megan Marschall -- 3rd Junior Dance
Lindsay Cohen -- 2nd Senior Dance
Julianne DiMura -- 2nd Gold Dance
Marissa Marschall -- 3rd Gold Dance
Marissa Marschall -- 1st International Dance
Claire Schretlen -- 2nd International Dance

The team hopes to overtake its competition again at the next competition, at MIT, which will qualify it for the Intercollegiate National Championships to be held in April, 2010. This year's intercollegiate national competition holds additional significance for the team because the University of Delaware is hosting the competition. The team won intercollegiate nationals in 2002, and has never finished below third.
