The 13-day tour, which departs on June 14, will highlight 5,000 years of history, culture and music, and will include visits to China's most important historical cities: Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai and Suzhou, all under the direction of two experienced bilingual and bicultural tour directors who are originally from China.

Included are many special excursions and programs that U.S. touring companies are not able to accommodate. Special UD offerings include Shanghai World Expo Village, short lectures on topics such as “Modern Chinese Society” and “Musical and Cultural Traits of China,” as well as brush painting and calligraphy class.

This is the fourth special tour of China with Gao, and the trip is open to UD friends, faculty, staff and alumni. Early reservations are recommended as space is limited. A deposit of $400 with each reservation must be received by Dec. 15.

Complete details, including a flyer and application form, are available at a special China Trip Web page at UD Connection. For other questions, contact Gao at [xiangg@udel.edu].
