3:37 p.m., May 11, 2010----More than 1,200 employees attended this year's University of Delaware Benefits and Wellness Fair held May 6 in the Multipurpose Room of the Trabant University Center.
Also, more than 200 employees and retirees participated in the Screening Zone, where for 10 Wellness dollars individuals could receive a variety of health screenings.
"We were pleased to be able to provide employees with an expanded version of the Screening Zone during this event that resulted in a 140 percent increase over last year's program,” commented Kathy Corbitt, director of the Healthy U program. “Our staff continues to receive many positive comments about the benefits and the convenience of the screenings that were offered in addition to the numerous resources that were available to them at this event."
This year, over 43 benefit providers and non-profit organizations participated in the fair, providing information, give-a-ways and door prizes
