The lecture -- entitled "Do You Know Where the Products You Buy Come From? Do You Care? Should You Care?" -- is a part of the 2009-2010 Fashioning Social Responsibility distinguished speaker lecture series presented by the UD Department of Fashion and Apparel Studies. The lecture will deal with how the modern consumer is more discerning than ever about where their products come from.

The lecture is free of charge.

A recipient of the Metro New York Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2008 in the retail and consumer products category, Corsano has led Anvil to become a leader in the sustainable apparel industry with its AnvilOrganic, AnvilRecycled and AnvilSustainable brands.

Anvil sells primarily to the business-to-business market and under private label brands. The company is headquartered in New York City.

The lecture is cosponsored by the UD College of Education and Public Policy, Department of Fashion and Apparel Studies, Fashion Merchandising Club and UD Office of the Provost, and is supported by the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics.
