11:23 a.m., Jan. 19, 2010----Felicia Zhang and Taylor Toth of the University of Delaware Figure Skating Club took first place in the junior pairs event at the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships being held through Jan. 24 in Spokane, Wash.

The pair overcame a collision during warm-ups for the short program to capture both the short program and the free skate in winning the title. They amassed 153.80 points.

Britney Simpson and Nathan Miller finished second with 147.29 points and Erika Smith and Nathan Bartholomay, also of the University of Delaware Figure Skating Club, finished third with 133.54 points.

Both UDFSC pairs teams are coached by Jeff DiGregorio and Ron Ludington.

Also at nationals, Emmanuel Savary of the UDFSC finished second in the novice men's competition. Savary scored 133.65 points to finish second behind Nathan Chen, who had 137.04 points.

Savary also is coached by Ludington and DiGregorio.
