The Research Office reminds UD faculty of grant opportunities available through the General University Research (GUR) fund and the UD Research Foundation (UDRF).
General University Research fund
The GUR fund provides merit-based grants in the amount of $6,000, primarily for scholarly endeavors in the arts, humanities and social sciences.

University of Delaware Research Fund
Two separate UDRF grant competitions are open--one for early career faculty, and one for UD strategic initiatives. Early career faculty are eligible to apply to both competitions, but the proposals should represent substantially different research.
Early Career Faculty Grants--The maximum award for UDRF grants for early career faculty has been increased to $25,000. With the matching requirements from the faculty member's respective college, this raises the potential value to $35,000 per award.

UDRF Strategic Initiative Grants--This program will support high-quality, collaborative scientific research projects in the three research areas emphasized in the Path to ProminenceTM strategic plan: Life and Health Sciences, Energy, and the Environment. The program requires a joint proposal from a junior faculty member and a tenured faculty mentor.
