Expected to be on hand for the game following a private pre-game barbecue are a number of former Blue Hens players, including Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and former Oakland Raiders quarterback and NFL Most Valuable Player Rich Gannon.

Admission to the stadium and parking is free to all fans. Gates to Delaware Stadium will open at 5 p.m. Parking will not be available on the Blue (grass) lot and seating will be restricted to the West grandstands and South end zone areas.

The Blue-White Game will feature the Blue team (offense) taking on the White team (defense) in various segments and game situations. The unique scoring system will award the offense six points for a touchdown, three points for a field goal, two points for a running or passing extra point, two points for a first down, and one point for a kicking extra point.

The defense will earn seven points for a touchdown, six points for causing a turnover, and four points for forcing a change of possession. Point totals will be doubled when the first team offense goes up against the first team defense.

Blue Hen fans will get their first look at Penn State transfer quarterback Pat Devlin as well as top returning receiver Mark Duncan and returning defensive All-Americans Charles Graves at safety and Matt Marcorelle at middle linebacker. The Hens return 38 letterwinners and 11 starters from last year's squad.

The game will close out a full day of activities for the football program. The annual Blue Hen Letterwinners Golf Outing will take place Friday morning at Patriots Glen Golf Club in Elkton, Md., which will be followed by the Football Alumni Barbecue at 3 p.m. on the UD practice fields and a post-game Football Team Barbecue.

The golf tournament is sold out and both barbecue events are private functions and not open to the general public.

Among the nearly 200 alumni slated to return for the game and barbecue - in addition to Flacco and Gannon -- are Cleveland Browns safety Mike Adams, All-American and former NFL quarterback Scott Brunner, former NFL defensive back Tim Jacobs, former NFL running back Dan Reeder, and former NFL cornerback George Schmitt.

Among the former UD All-Americans expected to return are offensive linemen Herb Beck, Chris Coyne, Garry Kuhlman, Jim Stull, and Mike Byrne, tight end Robbie Agnone, wide receiver Eddie Conti, defensive linemen Mike Renna, Joe McGrail, and Mike Cecere, linebacker Ed Clark, quarterbacks Matt Nagy and Bill Vergantino, and running back Tony Toto.
