Disabling/Enabling System Restore

Disabling the System Restore Utility (Windows Vista Users)

1. Right click the Computer icon on your computer's Desktop and click Properties.
2. Click System Protection on left side of window.
3. When the window Windows needs your permission to continue appears, select Continue.
4. Uncheck button next to Local Disk.
5. When you are prompted Are you sure you want to turn System Restore off? appears, select Turn System Restore Off.
6. Click OK and close window.

Note: After cleaning and updating your system, you should re-enable this utility.
