Everyone who uses the University's computing and information resources must conduct his or her computing activities in accordance with the University's Policy for Responsible Computing. To show that they understand this policy, all students must take a brief, on-line quiz, the Electronic Community Citizenship Examination (ECCE). Students are encouraged to read Responsible Computing a Student Manual before taking ECCE.
Who needs to take ECCE?
ALL students are required to pass ECCE. Access to computing resources will be denied until they have passed ECCE. A student does NOT need to pass ECCE more than once.
ECCE is a quiz for STUDENTS ONLY. Faculty and staff are not required to pass ECCE, or any other quiz pertaining to the responsible use of computing resources.
You can get to ECCE from the the UDelNet Connections web site. This means you can take ECCE at any campus computing site, from your residence hall room if you have activated your network connection or from your apartment if you have a modem and communication software.
