Here are some last minute tips from your Welcome Ambassador Captains. Look out for neon yellow or turquoise 1743 shirts all weekend long — they're here to help!

It's time! #UDWELCOME!!

1743 Welcome Days is a little bit hectic and a lot of awesome. If you haven't already, plan your schedule for the weekend using the website or Attendify app. Activity rotations containing your personalized schedule have now been added for both Saturday and Sunday.

You probably won't be able to make it to every single event that interests you this weekend. That's okay! Here are some strategies for connecting with your new community beyond 1743 opportunities.
SELF-DISCOVERY

Many students meet their first friends and develop lifelong passions through involvement in student groups. Log in using your UDelnet ID and password at studentcentral.udel.edu to get details for 400+ registered student organizations, residence hall communities, fraternities, sororities and more.
COMMUNITY

As you'll learn throughout the weekend, there's so much that you can get from a University of Delaware experience — and so much that you will contribute over your time here. Your energy and ideas will be part of our legacy. Look out for opportunities to engage that interest you at events.udel.edu.
WELLNESS

Your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing are yours to prioritize. Get tips for living well sent to your email by subscribing to UD Student Health 101. Save the UD Helpline counselor-on-call number, 302-831-1001, and engage with the Healthy HENS program for campuswide resources and services that can help you feel your best.
ACTION

The University community embodies its motto: Knowledge is the light of the mind. As you embark on this time of great growth, remember the UD student values of respect, openness, innovation, engagement and mentorship, and attend monthly SGA meetings to turn your thoughts and passions into tangible change.
We know that starting college can be exciting as well as stressful. If you ever have a question, a concern, or a problem to solve and you don't know where to begin, reach out to your Dean of Students at deanofstudents@udel.edu or 302-831-8939 for assistance and support. Go Blue Hens!
