University of Delaware

Ideal location

STAR Campus is close not just to UD’s 22,000 incredible students, 1,400 enterprising faculty members and picturesque central campus, but to Interstate 95 and the Northeast Corridor, the east coast’s most heavily traveled highway and rail line. Newark is ideally positioned midway between the nation’s financial hub, New York City, and its government and military capital, Washington, D.C. Delaware itself is the corporate capital of America; more than half of Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in the “First State."

At the close of 2015, Google named Newark as Delaware’s top tech city, citing the connection between the private sector and the University. Those partnerships only grow stronger as STAR Campus welcomes new tenants.

Expansion of rail service

Construction is underway on a $50 million train station and track renovation project. Both Amtrak and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) are expected to increase service to the station, where both rail operators already offer semi-limited daily service.
