|The History Department offers a rigorous graduate program for individuals who would like to obtain an MA in History and a secondary social studies teaching credential in two years. Individuals must be accepted into our highly selective MA program to be eligible for this option. This is an outstanding program for intellectually ambitious students with a passion for both history and pedagogy. During the two-year program, students take history classes with other entering graduate students as well as pedagogy courses in preparation for student teaching. This program often requires taking classes during one winter or summer session. Students complete student teaching during the spring of their second year at the University.
