Brandywine School District
Instructional Technology Leaders

Meeting October 2, 2001

Minutes
  1. Monthly reports were shown on the web. ITLs are reminded that reports are due a week before each monthly meeting. These can be emailed to sine@udel.edu and should answer the 3 questions:
    • What did you do this month?
    • What do you have planned for next month?
    • What help do you need?

  2. Pat introduced the NETS for Students and the Computer Skills Growth Chart. If anyone needs copies of the CSGC pamphlet, please contact Mike, Pat or Amy. Both the NETS and CSGC should be referred to as part of each training session.

  3. Yahoo! Groups listservs -- Many schools are now using these for intraschool communication. If anyone would like help setting these up, Mike can come to your school. If you have questions, send them to the ITL listserv. Many people have experience and would be happy to help you.

  4. Accelerated Reader -- Mike has notes about how AR can best be installed and supported, he'll be posting those to the ITL listserv for all use.

  5. School LANs -- There are many issues regarding how the school LANs are set up and administered. These issues are interfering with the way the LAN can be used in support of instruction. Mike K is going to compile a list and then talk with Mike S about remedies

  6. Seminars, Cyber Cafes and Cyber Teas are going strong throughout the district. Don't forget to register each of your classes (before they happen) at the ITL site. The password is itl2001
