What did you do this month?

  • Offered three Cyber Cafés on opening new documents, saving to the network, creating
    and organizing files/folders. It seems to be happening more on an individual basis.
  • Trouble shooting with individual teachers.
  • Shared with tech aides teacher concerns with changing computers next year.
  • Created three PowerPoint slides for ITLT program.
  • Created some more iMovies for teachers

What do you have planned for next month?

  • Run two more Cyber Cafés.
  • Get the TV studio going
  • Organize portfolios for the kids in the club
  • Finish the tech catalog (I hope)

What did you do this month?

  • Delaware State Technology Conference
  • AG Technology Faire
  • Taught merging Excel and Word to some teachers
  • Refreshed merging Excel and Word with some students
  • Read lots of e-mail from ITLT
  • Evaluated some technology classes for summer school
  • Continued to work in the technology catalog for the building
  • Started to explore Adobe PhotoShop elements
  • Continued to work on the TV studio

  • Evaluate some more technology classes for myself

What did you do this month?

  • Spent a lot of time checking out educational web sites.
  • Reviewing and editing JEOPARDY games with PowerPoint.
  • Ran a Cyber Café on opening new documents, saving to the network, creating and organizing files/folders.
  • Brainstormed ideas of how to make a movie for staff on what technology exists in our building and how to go about signing it out for use.
  • Brainstormed/listed technology in the building and where it will be stored next year.

What did you do this month?

  • Spent a lot of time checking out educational web sites.
  • Created another list of useful web sites for middle school teachers
  • Worked on setting up some Mac classes for after school.
  • Read a few technology articles.
  • Used digital video recorder, downloaded to iBook, and working on an iMovie.
  • Installed OS X on the Mac laptops
  • Created iMovies
  • Explored the new iPhoto program for Mac
  • Completed online training in iMovie
  • Attended building technology meetings

What do you have planned for next month?

  • We would like to run a cyber Café on making iMovies. And how to create CD's
  • Check out the Inspiration and Skills Connect programs.
  • Complete some online training with the Mac/iMovie.
  • Finish making an iMovie.
  • Start a project (power point or quicktime movies) that would show the teachers what technology was available in the building and
  • Show some ways they could use it in their classroom.
  • Start to plan part of a technology induction program for new teachers

What did you do this month?

  • I am still spending a lot of time working with and exploring my new iBook and DELL laptops. I have sought out a number of people to help me with various applications and questions that I had. I have been searching for a way to work with my network folder when I am at home.
  • I am still working with a 6th grade teacher to update a web page we created with our own version of a Web Quest for Ancient Egypt.
  • Networked with other teachers to find out how they currently use technology in their classrooms.
  • Working on a PowerPoint project with a 7th grade teacher.
  • Creating a list of useful web sites for middle school teachers.
  • Planning and putting the final touches on an Inspiration project.
  • Trying to get the CD burner to work with the dell…..they are not compatible.
  • Phase one of MLP.com form writing.
  • Creating music CD's for a team to use in the classroom.
  • Finished the first run of the PE team's video.
  • Completed some online training with the mac/imovie.

What do you have planned for next month?

  • Karen and I would still like to get a needs and strengths assessment underway in our building so we know who has questions and who can answer them.
  • Karen and I would like to run a cyber Café on either "How to use Macs" or "How to Organize and Save Things to Network Folders" for teachers in the beginning stages of technology.
  • Finish the video taping for the PE team.
  • Create a rough draft of the video in imovie.
  • Using the Inspiration program in the classroom with another teacher.
  • Finish the forms on mylearningplan.com

What help do you need?

  • How did others "package" or "market" the time involved to other staff?
  • Obtaining a cleaner for the video recorder.
October

What did you do this month?

  • Explored and worked out issues with the ibook and Dell laptops.
  • Worked with another teacher to create our own web page with our own version of a Web Quest for Ancient Egypt.
  • Burned 3 CD’s for teachers needing only approved songs.
  • Discovered how to set up the launcher on the Mac
  • Signed up for iTools, and explored the options it gives us.
  • installed FCP on the Mac (thank you Joyce)
  • Invited Joyce to demo some ideas for the PE team.
  • Finished the online Mac course
  • worked with Joyce to create resources, such as power point lessons, that other health teachers can access on the server.
  • Took many tutorials on atomiclearning.com on imovie, FCP

What do you have planned for next month?

  • Would like to get a needs and strengths assessment underway in our building.
  • Complete the Web Quest project
  • Design a plan on how to inservice our “PC world” teachers on the new iMacs they will be getting
  • Video tape the PE team’s first project and begin to edit it in iMovie.
  • Download the movie from the G4 to iDisc then to the powerbook
  • Play “guinea pig” for the teacher test
  • Get feedback on the ITLT hours log. Make changes
  • Design and create a form for the Act 48 committee to be used on mylearningplan.com

  • What forms of needs/strengths assessment worked for others?
  • How did others minimize resistance to completing the assessment?
  • How did others “package” or “market” the time involved to other staff?
  • More inservice with Joyce concerning the inspiration program.
  • Get the other lead teachers ideas who have helped their teacher work with the iMacs

September

What did you do this month?

  • This month we introduced ourselves to the staff as the Instructional Technology Lead Teachers and explained what that means for them.
  • A few teachers approached us within the next few days and asked for help performing some operation with their computers.
  • Leanne spent time learning how to use a new computer software package as well as some new applications for Excel.
  • We did some brainstorming on what we would like to accomplish in our building.
  • Helped the teachers through the Bloodborne Pathogens module
  • Set up and taught teachers how to change the settings for their e-mail
  • Started to learn the Mac world…had several lesson with friends and family
  • Started the "Intro to iMac" online class
  • Explored the "resources"

What do you have planned for next month?

  • We would like to complete some kind of a needs assessment within our building. We would like to know who is proficient in what areas, who is willing to help teach others, and who would like to be helped.
  • Finish the tuition reimbursement form from MLP
  • Finish the ITLT log on MLP
