Avon Grove School District
Instructional Technology Lead Teacher
Program Description
In an effort to support teachers, the Instructional Technology Lead Teacher can do the following:
  • Act as a liaison with district technology staff development specialists
  • Coordinate building level planning, implementation, and staff development of curriculum integration of technology consistent with district direction
  • Coordinate and conduct staff development in instructional technology for the school
  • Locate and share resources and information relating to instructional technology with the school and district
  • Assist classroom teachers in using and integrating technology into the curriculum
  • Other duties as needed by the school and teachers

The IT Lead Teachers are being supported by the district in several ways:

  • Support for stipends for up to 3 hours per week and/or a half-day substitute. This time is flexible with your own teaching schedule and there may be some weeks when you will not have any hours to submit.
  • Support from district instructional technology specialists for training and support
  • Workshops to work with other IT Lead Teachers and district resources to collaborate and hone skills
  • Monthly meetings to share information and strategies with other IT Lead Teachers and district resources
  • Support from Pat Sine and the Office of Educational Technology at the University of Delaware via listserv, email or on-site work.

Remember: This is an evolving project to provide suppport for our professional endeavors so this is a very fluid description of the project.
