- Duties of ITLTs -- See the list from last May's meeting
Olivia presented a list of the duties expected of ITLTs for the 2005-2006 year so that current ITLTs could consider whether they want to return or who will follow them.
- Attendance at monthly ITLT meetings (we'll set the regular date ahead of time)
- Each ITLT/school must conduct at least one CyberCafe/Tech Talk per month. The focus of these is to highlight or discuss tech integration projects within the school -- not a focus on tech skills. Joyce and Craig are available to assist.
- Participate in the annual AG Tech Fair either by demonstrating with his or her own students or by supporting another teacher and his or her students.
- Submit monthly reports via the blogs.
- Participate daily in the ITLT listserv
- Working session -- The group did a great job of organizing what we have and what is needed.
The answers below summarize what is available and what tasks need to be done.
The task for the group is to organize the information that should be presented to new teachers and returning teachers next year. As I think through this, I think we'll have a huge pile of information that teachers should receive. Obviously, we can't drop that all on them at one time and expect them to remember it. So, I'm thinking our task falls into a couple of areas.
1. What are all the documents that you've prepared for staff and have ready to roll?
- ITLT flyer – PLE, HS, MS, AGI
- Technology Services Available – PLE
- Smartboard guidelines
- Dell Cart guidelines – Craig will update
- Fireworks document -- Joyce
- Network printers – send to Craig
- Teacherweb – Joyce
- Reading Assessment data entry – AGI only
- MS Outlook handout – merge from HS and others
2. What is your list of "must mention" items for post groups? Of this, what should be said, what should be handed out on paper and what should be reserved for later communications?
- Dell Cart procedures including -- building
- P-drive – building
- Reading Assessment – AGI
- Report cards – AGI and PLE (TeachSuite) – October
- Network printers – Craig will post to web
- Outlook calendar for scheduling – AGI will send to Craig and list for refinement
- Resource overview – pointing to web page (TeacherWeb, IGPro,
- Email training using Outlook handout from Doug -- -revised by Linda, et al
- SASI
- Help desk
- Internet Use Agreement – new teachers Linda, et al
- Phone -- PLE and FEMS
3. What topics should be handled by Joyce, Craig and Linda at their opening sessions? Which are more appropriately the domain of the schools?
answered above
4. What can be used across schools? Is there a best way to share that?
answered above
- TechMentoring -- Joyce
- Next meeting: September 11, 2006
