  1. Updates from Olivia
    • As per her email today, AG will cover the cost of one day's attendance (plus travel) for PETE&C, DITC or NECC Requests should be made as early as possible to take advantage of early bird rates.

    • Olivia reminded everyone that hours must be submitted by the 25th of each month and and thanked everyone for observing the deadlines so far.

    • Olivia reported that the budget overall is getting much tighter. She has lobbied for continuation of the ITLT program and for continued funding of the technology throughout the district at the current levels.
  2. Updates from Joyce
    • ACTS grant -- Mentor training is proceeding now according to the requirements of the grant and will continue through the spring and summer. More info

    • TechMentoring update -- Joyce directed everyone to look closely at the TechMentoring examples on the web. She continues to solicit individuals who wish to work with her.

    • Videoconferencing -- Joyce directed everyone to the Eluminate site where there are archived versions of videoconferences. Joyce has posted additional opportunities on the district pages and will help people who are interested. See Elluminate Webinar for Technology Leadership Academy

    • TeacherWeb -- Right now things are going well. There are spaces available if more teachers want to try this out. Contact Joyce.
    • Middle School Fair -- Joyce directed everyone to the announcement of the PA Computer Fair and opportunities for middle schoolers (6-8) to compete

  3. AG Tech Fair -- Craig and Linda
    • The fair will be held again this year in the AGI cafeteria immediately preceeding the Board meeting. Olivia emphasized that this is an opportunity to showcase how well the technology dollars are being used to influence student learning. This is not a "gee whiz" show but a display of good curriculum integration.
    • Craig and Linda are looking for participants (students and teachers). They have requested that volunteedrs come forward by Jan 15.

  4. DITC -- Delaware Instructional Technology Conference -- April 13 and 14
    • DITC is now seeking presenters. Pat is happy to advise anyone on creating a great proposal. Please note that the folks in Delaware expressly requested that Avon Grove participate!

  5. School updates
    • There was a lively discussion of the uses of UnitedStreaming. This also highlighted some challenges with folks getting access to and hooking up projectors in each school.

    • Kristi shared a handout to help teachers use WebHelp. She'll be posting the files for this, how-to on projectors and a how-to for the laptops to our listserv.
    • Craig shared resources available on the Avon Grove Instructional Resources link
    • Doug asked for help with grants links. Pat will start posting those to the list.
