3:45 - 5:15 p.m
Location: District Office
- Joyce - ACTS Grant - Aligning Curriculum to Standards in Pennsylvania
- Discussion - Do we need written guidelines regarding teacher web pages?
- Minutes from March 12, 2003
- Discussion centered around the way this was actually being carried out in the schools.
- AGI -- reviews are done only when there is "significant content change."
- HS -- asks that teachers carefully self-review before publishing a web page.
- PLE -- Leigh Anna mentioned that she uses a disclaimer on her page indicating that although she has already checked pages, that children should be supervised as they use the web. Leigh Anna will be sharing her disclaimer on the list.
- Discussion - a policy to regulate how cell phones are being used to transmit text messages and photos
- AGHS and FEMS have already addressed this in their academic honor code which is revisited each year. However, it was recommended that the AUP also get a yearly look to make sure that technology doesn't advance faster than the policies.
- Tech Fair -- Since the interest is lower and one of the reasons for holding this is to help the Board members more fully appreciate what is going on in the schools, the suggestion was made to move this event to Feb 26 directly preceeding the Board meeting. Joyce is chair and will be making plans to carry this out.

- AGHS
- QUESTION:
A few teachers have asked us to have someone put the AGSD Board Policies on our district web page. If teachers are supposed to abide by these policies, they should be somewhere easily accessible to all teachers and staff members.
- These were on line but the copies that were put on line were not the final versions. Charleen has volunteered to work with Craig to check all of the policies. The HS library has an updated printed version of the policies and Charleen will use students to check these against the documents that Craig currently has in PDF format.
