What could have been better?

  • Software needs for K-2
  • Effective instructional use of technology
  • More opportunities to co-teach with teachers
  • Time to train people during the school day
  • Motivating ALL teachers to integrate technology
  • Time wasted on Macs that are no longer in the building
  • Need a better location or more computers to teach both teachers and students
  • Commitment to support technology (Districtwide)
  • Technology that is up-to-date and functional
  • To get more faculty to use email & technology
  • Faster tech support
  • More time for additional training of staff for technology
  • More hands-on activities and time to play and explore

What roles will individuals play this year?

  • Train staff w/ computer hardware peripherals (iLav, AlphaSmarts, Digital Cameras, scanners, etc)
  • Support modeling and training using technology with instruction
  • Maintain web page
  • Maintain/revise web site
  • CyberCafes
  • TechNews in "What's Up" Newsletter
  • Monitor Mobile Labs (per pod)
  • Add to F.L.I.P. books
  • Each will develop specific web-based activities using the mobile labs and targeted at specific grades. (Karen is now doing science and Leanne is doing Social Studies.)
  • Teach rest of science dept about labs, probes and calculators (Mary)
  • Assist with ideas for other staff
  • Continue encouraging Integrade Pro and guidelines and usage of portable labs
  • Power Library and Big Chalk on laptops and 500 (Charleen)
  • 9th grade introduction to library and computer lab (and standardizing for reuse in future years) (Charleen)

What will Craig and Joyce do for your school?

  • Provide JIT training
  • Help w/ DreamWeaver
  • Consult w/ teachers through e-mail (create a PLE listserv??)
  • Tell us about new products and software
  • Provide STAFF training to grade levels during the school day (ie., e-mail, server use)
  • Co-teach during school day w/ classroom teachers
  • Support teachers during technology lessons
  • Demonstrate new technology and help us to get it.
  • 2 carts for LCD projectors
  • Fix HS #2 Cart to make all computers available
  • Make Charleen an administrator on mobile laptops
  • Craig -- continue to work with English Dept and newspaper
  • Continued support for Integrade Pro
  • Joyce -- help students learn to use graphing with Excel
