As each head coach arrives at the University of Delaware’s Bob Carpenter Center, he/she will exchange this event Registration Chart (B Team / C Team) for a canvas bag containing wristbands, programs, nametags, and other information as well as pre-ordered student t-shirts. The Registration Chart requires the coach to list student names, the events each student is competing in, and the hotel/motel the team is staying at if applicable. This chart can be filled out by hand. Please keep a copy for yourself. This Registration Chart is not to be mailed or faxed to us. We want it to be as up to date as possible — just list student names across the top and check off events student is competing in. This form is for the fifteen competitors only — not for any alternates competing in trial/pilot events.

Students and coaches will wear pin on nametags both Friday night and all day Saturday. In addition Saturday morning each student will put on a wristband that is not to be removed until the student has completed all his/her competitive events. Alternates entering trial/pilot events do not wear wristbands.

As each student enters an event, he/she must sign in. There are Sign In Sheets for two person events, three person events, and four person events.

This Scoring Chart is what the event supervisors will use to rank scores for each event. Each event will have tiebreakers. First place in an event earns one team point, second place two teams points, etc. The team with the lowest team score for the twenty-three national events will win the Invitational Science Olympiad. Medals will be given for the top six places in each national, trial, and pilot event. Event chairs go to headquarters with student work and the scoring chart where his/she is interviewed by a score certifier to be sure scoring has been completed correctly.

The top six winners in each event will be announced at the awards ceremony. This listing for microphone will be completed by the event supervisors for each event. Team trophies are awarded to the top ten teams in each division.
