Cultural history is not a major priority in my family. The reason for this is that there is a lack of information about my family history. My "family" consists of my very immediate relatives, My mother, brother and two sisters. Unfortunately my grandparents are no longer with us and contact with aunts and uncles is extremely rare. I do know that my cultural heritage dates back to Italy, Ireland, and Germany. My father's side of the family came from Italy and my mother's side is from Ireland and Germany.

There are not very many cultural events that we participate in as a family. The only nationalistic activity we do partake in is, having a strong preference for Italian foods. The funny part about this is that my father gave us the inclination for Italian eating and since my parents are divorced my non-Italian mother prepares all of our favorite dishes. There is so much information that remains unknown about my family heritage. I hope to one day have the time to do a little searching and find out some more information about my cultural roots.
