Hello, my name is Traci Michelle Gray. I am from Washington, DC, the nation's capital city. I am a PROUD African American. Not only am I Black, but I have Irish and Indian traces as close as three generations away. My mother's grandmother was of Irish decent. My grandfather on my mother's side of the family was a Cherokee Indian.

On my father's side of the family, I was able to trace my family back to Sierra Leone, which is located on the West Coast of Africa.

On both sides of my family, I have found war heroes. My grandfather was drafted in the Civil War and my great Uncle Maurice fought in World War II. Both of these heroes still reside in Washington, DC today.

You see, I have history as well as diversity rooted deep, very deep in my soul!
