Susan Spingler

I must be honest, I do not know much about my family's heritage-- I don't have any grandparents to tell me about it. All I know has been told to me by my parents. My father's side of the family is mostly English and German. My father's childhood was spent living in Philadelphia and most of my relatives who are remaining are still living there. My mother's side of the family is mostly Irish, Welsh, and a little German. My mother tells me that I have small features on my face (nose and eyes) because of the Welsh in my blood. The ancestors on my mother's side of the family came from England and settled on a couple hundred acres of land which was granted to them. Somewhere in an old dusty scrapbook you'll find a copy of the grant of the land which is called Ryemould and is found in Preston, MD. This land has been in my family for many generations and will probably be past on for generations to come.
