My father's side of the family is from Hungary. Although I don't know much about Hungary, I did a project on it in second grade. I remember making potato soup to bring in for the class, which is a popular food over there. I found out through this project that one of my favorite flowers, the sunflower, is one of their leading crops. My mother's side of the family is from Germany and Switzerland. I do not really know much about my mom's side, but I have a close friend who lives in Switzerland. By communicating with her I have learned a lot about the Swiss culture. I've learned about the differences in their education system as compared to ours and about a different way of life. This has given me insight into my Swiss background.
