My father and mother are both African American as well as myself. My father was born in Montross, Virginia, and my mother was born in Wilmington, Delaware. My father joined the United States Marine Corps when we completed high school. My mother attended Wilmington College for one semester. As far as I know of my family is basically made up of African Americans;however, my father's mother's father was Caucasian.

The funniest family members I have would be the ones who think they can get whatever they want by acting crazy. My mother's father served in the Vietman war I believe, and he was injured an has to wear a brace on one of his legs. I never knew my father's father because he died when my father was real young. I do know that my mother's mother had cancer and many of her sisters also. My mother's father is a diabetic. My father's mother has asthma, and my father has high blood pressure.

I think the most surprising thing about my culture would be the fact that my mother's mother's father was this great jazz player, and he taught alot of people in Wilmington, and other people outside of Wilmington how to play many different instruments. What makes this even more funnier is that my grandmother's mother had 12 children. Out of this one set of twins were born, but they died at birth. So know there 10 still living, and out of the 10 only one is a boy, the rest are girls. My grandmother's mother also helped to build the church that I go to every Sunday, the name of the church is Union A.M.E. Zion Church.

I enjoyed this assignment alot because at first I said that I really do not have anything interesting in my culture, and boy was I wrong!!!
