My cultural heritage is something I don't know much about. I know I am part German, part English, part French, and part Dutch. I guess the reason I don't know much about my hetitage is one, because I've never asked and second, because I don't think my parents know much about their heritage either.

The only trait I can think of that would be connected to any of the cultures I'm related to would be my love for exploration and trying new things that I guess I get from the Dutch side of my family.

As for how my family got to the United States I know that both my mom and dad's sides of the family came through Staten Island in New York. My mom's side of the family came to America in the late 1800's or early 1900's. My great-great grandfater on my dad's side jumped ship just outside of the harbor on Staten Island. I guess that might mean my entire family are illegal aliens but I don't think it would be a good idea to get into that.

That is all I know about my heritage. I guess I could, and should, find out more about my past but I've never given it much thought.
