My name is Carly Yanotka. I am 21 years old. I am a junior year education major. I am originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey. My family moved to Delaware when I was 10 years old. They now live in Wilmington, Delaware.

I originally did not want to go to college in Delaware. I wanted to leave the nest, and go really far away. Somehow, my mom convinced me to stick closeby. Now I am glad I did. I like this university, and what it has to offer me. Alot of my high school friends have returned home, and my family is nearby.

I have become very interested in becoming a teacher, especially in the past two years. For the past two summers, I have worked at camps, and I have found this to be both fun and rewarding. Two summers ago, I worked at a residential camp in the Poconos. It was hard work, but I had one of the best summers of my life. I also met a few international councelors, and made a really good friend in New Castle, England. In fact, my roommate and I are going to stay with my friend at her school in London for Spring Break! I can't wait!

I have just stared my third spring semester at the University of Delaware. I am looking forword to student teaching next year. My classes for this semester, so far, seem interesting and challenging. It's hard working and attending school full time, but soon I will be finished school, and all my hard work will have paid off.
