Associate in Arts Transitioning Students: Living on Campus

Welcome to the Newark Campus; we are excited to have you join us!  Associate in Arts students are housed in the same locations as other upper-division students.

Information about the different upper-division areas of campus can be found on our Building Information page for 2016-2017 and in our Housing Tour.

AA transitioning students can apply to live on campus during the Upper Division Open Enrollment period in September to be guaranteed housing for the following academic year. Make sure to get complete details on the application process.

Guaranteed housing deadline for 2017-2018 housing: September 30, 2016.

Associate in Arts Bridge Community

Associate in Arts graduates who choose to live on campus have the option to live in our Bridge Community located in the Independence Complex on Laird Campus.

The Bridge Community offers Associate in Arts graduates an opportunity to engage with other residential students and to quickly get involved with all that the Newark campus has to offer. Students living in this community have an advantage from the day they move in because not only will they quickly meet other students, they are part of a unique community which provides additional programming and leadership opportunities.

The Independence complex offers suite-style living, large lounge spaces on each floor and a dedicated Residence Life & Housing staff to provide support and assistance to all students.

Located on Laird campus, Independence complex is located adjacent to Pencader dining hall and the P.O.D. market.

Other Ways to Get Involved

In addition to the Bridge Community there are many other opportunities to get involved while living on campus.

Each residential complex offers a Complex Community Council which provides leadership opportunities and gives students the opportunity to make suggestions and changes for their complex.

Additionally, with over 300 Registered Student Organizations, there is always something going on around campus.
